Mindful Walk in Paris
Inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh Zen Master.
Once the Master was asked: Why do you love so much the walking meditation practice? He replied: “It’s very simple, because I love to walk”.
We often walk just because we need to go from one place to another. And where are we in the meantime? Often while we walk our minds are in the final destination, thinking on the important meeting we’ll have or the endless things we have to do.
However, at each step we can feel the miracle of walking on this earth. Whether you are on the Champs Elysees, rue de Rivoli, in the subway or in a park you can be aware of your walk, your feet touching the earth, the mouvent of your legs, trying to be fully present to your walk and your breath.
If it inspires you, as you walk you can even repeat one of the Zen Master’s mantras: “One step I’m touching the Earth, one step I’m kissing the Earth”
